OK, fine then, what is a Type A Personality?

edit:
INTJ: 56% 75% 88% 1%
The 1% for J clearly indicates that this kind of test can't really tell me anything about myself.

also, 159, which places me somewhere between B and A

I must have multiple personalities. They better lock me up before I do something crazy.

edit:
apparently, Type-A personalities was some kind of failed attempt at using behavior to predict a person't risk of heart attacks.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_A

Depends on how sincerely you answered all the questions. On the other hand all the results must be taken with a grain of salt. There are other similar tests on the net, take them and compare the results.

159 is excellent.

Wait what? How can they link something as obscure as "Oh your a type A, your going to die of a heart attack" Interesting anyhow.. I remember taking this one really good political test and the result has you as a dot on a X Y axis with all four quadrants, at the extreme points for example would have fascism/communism/republicanism/.. and something else. I rated very closely to Gandhi.

Look at the overall picture:

Typical INTJ career choices are in the sciences and engineering, but they can be found wherever a combination of intellect and incisiveness are required (e.g., law, some areas of academia). INTJs can rise to management positions ....

 http://www.typelogic.com/intj.html

Doesn't this match your background ? Confused

Apparently, I must be an ENTJ
Extroverted Intuitive Thinking Judging. I took both tests and the results were literally the same. I am a mixed bag, which I think most folk are. I am both a thinker and a feeler, although I tend to analyze things a lot, and that could be my neurotic side coming out. No, I am not an obsessive compulsive!!

But these tests must be taken for what they are: a generalized "evaluation," over a range of possibilities. People are way too complex to be put into a bag. That's one reason why those astrology lists in newspapers and magazines often times don't make sense--it's a generality, not a specific tome. If we look at the entire astrological chart, you must not only look at the sun, but the moon, the rising sign, and all the planets, so this is not a simple formula for judging human behavior and thoughts.

But this examination of people's possible personality types is entertaining, to say the least.

INTP here. I have found these variations of Myers-Briggs personality survey fascinating for years. By way there are separate email lists you can join for nearly all 16 personality types. INTP list used to be quite active though I havent been there for years now. It was uncanny the affinity I felt with those there even though they were mostly city oriented folk with tech jobs and me a country bumpkin.

There are variations even in each of 16 types due to different percentages for each of the components. I always test rather strong in each catagory of INTP group (Introvert, iNtuitive, Thinking, Perceiving) but especially strong introvert. Being physically around people, especially a large group, is big energy drain though I can force myself when necessary. Has tended to keep me out of trouble the last half century.

Oh just little point of interest, nearly 50% of population is ISTJ for some unknown reason. Everybody else shares the other 50% in varying proportions.

Actually the 1% "J" indicates you are neutral there. Sometimes you will have more the characteristics of an INTP and sometimes an INTJ. They sometimes show this as INTx. This is point where these online for fun tests can be quite off. Usually if you test strongly one way or another in each catagory you will on any of these tests. The neutrals or near neutrals may show differently on different tests and maybe need a more professional version of the test and professional interpretation to get most accuracy if it means that much to them. Maybe one way to decide is to read the supposed qualities of both INTP and INTJ and see which you feel fit you best. Nobody is 100% fit for the descriptions of any of the 16 types. For example I am an INTP but dont care for chess or foreign languages that much. Not that fussed about grammatical correctness or spelling. Though those tend to get put in the description of an INTP. On other hand not worrying about clothing styles and wanting most for my money and having incompleted projects stacked around fits me to a tee. Am quite good at fitting seemingly unrelated pieces together to get the big picture. Thus the "architect" aptitude that is always mentioned.

This is very interesting to know. Thanks for sharing. Great posts under this thread. I wondered in all the INFJ factors, how come I scored lesser than 50% in most and what does this indicate. In another related test, I got something closely related, Forgot what it was. On reading the interpretation it said Mother Teresa is INFJ but sometimes this other type also.
