Today during update I noticed that http://www.sysim.com/ dialup service includes web accelerator for a total of $6.5/month
 http://www.freedomlist.com/find.php3?plan=1362
(sysim appears to be inactive)

Considering that most ISP's charge extra $2-4 for accelerator alone - this is a pretty good deal.
 http://www.frys.com/template/isp/index/  high speed dialup $8.99/mo

http://www.turbousa.com/  includes accelerator for $8.95 Monthly

 http://accnet.com/  200hr/mo $7.75/mo accelerated dialup

http://www.550access.com/highspeed_howitworks.asp  high speed for $8.95 Monthly

I looked at  http://www.sysim.com/  , but I couldn't get past the number selection page of the sign-up process. I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message.

It was working fine yesterday. I was surprised to find a lot of numbers in my area.

It didn't work for me yesterday or today. What did you see after you selected an access number?

I do see that the pages haven't been updated since June 2009...

After I selected my state, I saw a listing of alphabetized cities in my state. I clicked two different cities and got 1 access number for each city (different numbers of course).

I'm guessing they're an ISP reseller. I picked  Albany, NY  and then selected the first number listed, added the word "dialup" to narrow the results

Albany (518) 207-7020 v92 dialup  Search Results

But did you either of you select a number, which is apparently required for continuing the signup process? That is when I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message. The same thing happens on any state/city combination I gave tried, including Albany, NY.

Boz,
I tried it for my hometown and could not get past the "pick a phone number" page. After I click on a number the browser chugs away for awhile and then eventually goes to the "cannot display the webpage" message. I think the site is broke.

Signup didn't work for me either - "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I tried them in 2008 when they were in "transition" and didn't want to trust them 100% back then because everything didn't work that supposedly came with a monthly subscription. I wrote a review that was conditionally positive if they got their act together but apparently they haven't.

I removed sysim from the directory

frys.com also offers accelerated dialup for 8.99/mo
They also lowered their prices on regular dialup to $5.99/month.
