| I have an external modem USRobotics but prefer to find a free hotspot with fast internet service. Even just checking email on dialup is painful! |

I was going to mod my usr external to avoid using the 9vac wall wart,I never got around to it.Possibly off the usb power for power blackout use. |

It would not surprise me at all if many of those 3.5 million are using AOL dial-up for internet access for the reasons previously described.
Still using it here in Portland. Family is now unemployed and wouldn't have the money for anything else despite the fact that the state unemployment office here virtually requires people to have internet to file the claim and keep up with weekly reporting. I'm still personally paying it even though most of the time I'm attending a university in another state because I know they'd have absolutely no access. _________________ Poetworld subscriber 2002-2012.
