|
|
I just received an email from Verizon stating that my monthly DSL service will increase from $14.99 to $21.99 in the next 30 days!
I used to have the 1 year plan for $14.99 and it expired sometime ago and the deal was at that time if you went to month to month you just kept paying $14.99..it was a good deal so that's what I did.
I checked their site and they do have a plan for 1 year at $19.99 a month. They also have a 2 year plan for $19.99 a month and they will guarantee the price for life.
Does anyone know of a better Verizon plan that might not be listed on their website?
TIA |

I got a similar email yesterday, bumping my rate for 768/128 from 17.99/ mo to 21.99/mo. That's a whopping 22% rate increase! After 1.5 hrs on the phone w/ Verizon, I was able to negotiate a 29.99/mo rate for 3mb down/ 768kb up, along with a "price for life" feature protecting me from future rate increases. If you go to www.verizon.net/greatrate you will see the price guarantee. But first call Verizon DSL sales (1-800-660-2215) to upgrade to the faster service if it's available and if you want it. Otherwise you can lock in a lifetime price at ( www.verizon.net/greatrate ) of 19.99/mo for the 768/128 speed combo.
Hope this helps. |

Meanwhile Verizon keeps sending me notices that I can get dsl for $12.99 for the first 6 months and $17.99 for months 7 through 12.
In my area, the cheapest Verizon used to be was $21.99 which really can't compare to Comcast $42.99 for 6Mbps. That's why I'm sticking with Comcast. If Verizon offers 15Mbps FIOS for $50/month, I may re-think or at least call Comcast and complain. |

LOL PLODR.
The plan is to not have anyone on DSL less than $20. That was the plan in the beginning. The price dropping down to dialup prices was just to get people to realize broadbands speeds and then be willing to shuck up the extra money.
Verizon is following behind all its sister companies. All the bell Subsidiaries are on the same book. _________________ Midwest Computer Connection - Your Right-Hand Connection http://www.mwcc.us

| Call Verizon - ask for the retention department, threaten to quit, ask for their best deal - tell them up will NOT re-up unless you can get $14.99 for LIFE!! |
