Personally I don't spend a whole lot of time worrying about the posting styles of others unless maybe it constitutes spam, flaming, threats, or obscenity. I try to find more constructive and informative things to do instead of getting bogged down in the posting practices of others. Whether someone is more prolific in posting than me (as is the case on a couple of other boards) or whether they post longer posts than I do, is not high on my list of life's concerns as long as it falls within commonly recognized `net behavior and existing board thread topics.

Again, no disrespect or offense to you or others intended - it's just that I can't fathom why others would bother themselves with something so trivial either. But maybe some people don't have anything better to do.

For the Record:

A. Had no gripe with the News forum. Thought it was a good idea.

B. The wholesale copying of text without relevant personal remarks was the gripe. The new posting guidelines more than satisfy that sole complaint.

C. Bottom Line: Admin team evidently got tired of the extra work policing maverick posts.
