Youre right - that I do get about 6 hours of sleep. But that is because we are doing a complete makeover of the site right now - and should have it up in a week. Scott and I are personally monitoring the progress of the new Separate support site, the new ordering console, and new features. I am sorry for any inconvienences that may have occured so far.
We did move our support site to http://myispcenter.com already, but the site up is the previous support system but we did update the numbers, move the usage script there, and update the support ticket submit form.
Our network infrasturucture hasnt changed at all, and we provide max speeds available for your area, up to 53,333 (This is the fastest allowed, there no such thing as 56k exactly) Other things that will affect your account is trojans, viruses, ad/spyware, modem type, and the actual copper line quality itself all the way back to your telco's primary switch.
Dont hesitate to call us if you have any concerns. Best times to call are 10AM to 3PM Central Time. But we are availble 9-6.

I actually liked this ISP at first, but then it started to slow down, and disconnect all the time. 1. I dont mind a customer using up to 200. Thats far beyond moderate, and before starting dialstream we never had a customer exceed 135 hours. But ive had people go beyond that. and it puts a major spike on my network, which isnt fair to other users.
2. Cant fault the reasons. I started a cheap ISP to test the sub couts it would generate, which is actually substancial. Dialstream has more than 2600 Users since its start in April 2005. It was started when we had a wave of customers come from A4L. My parent ISP cannot be mass advertised online due to mutual agreements.
3. Price subject to change... thats with any ISP. But our customers who are on the premium plan, if anything happens with dialstream they are unaffected negatively. If we ever shut down dialstream (and theres no plan to) Those customers would be migrated to our primary ISP and maintain their price.
4. Our carrier blocks port 25. 90% of most mail providers have another port you can listen to other than 25. Port 25 is too common for fraud, phishing, and spam. We offer 4 alternate ports for our mail users, and most other mail providers should have an alternate port.
5. And being a freedomlist poster, im sure you see that freedomlist posters encourage the consumer not to use their ISPs mail. When we were activating it with our old e-mail service automatically, only 35% of our users actually used it. We use an oursourced service now, and we feel it should only be activated if it will be used.

I have some concerns about this ISP. 1)This ISP does not like moderate to heavy ISP users, 2) This ISP was created in response to other ultra-cheap ISPs like All2Easy 3) Price is subject to change 4) smtp port 25 is blocked 5) ISP e-mail set-up must be requested
This is an OK ISP but there are better ISP options.

I just signed on last night, and I have to say that this service is fine with me. I called customer service this morning, because I was having connection problems. But as it turned out, it was because I had made a few mistakes choosing a username, and setting up my dialup networking.
The guy who answered the phone sounded a bit irritable at first, but later seemed to calm down. Anyhow, I find this ISP comparable to All2Easy, whis is pretty good in its own right. The customer service representative I spoke with explained that their standard service was subject to changes in price, so I decided to upgrade the service for a bit more.

Title: Dialstream.net
|
I have been testing Dialstream.net for the past two days and I can report that this is one fine ISP. The first day I was having problems connecting to the three Group 1 numbers in my area. Kept getting 650 errors - Does not respond to server request. check server type settings (the same problem I was having with two of my three dialup.cc numbers). In twelve attempts to connect, I connected only twice on first try without 650s, and got disconnected in less than 1 minute four times. This was bad. I phoned support and talked immediately with aci-john for a while about the problems. He checked everything on his end and assured me it was ok. I remember his asking, "Whats going on in your computer". Of course I knew everything was A-OK on my end, so it had to be the service - right? Aci-john phoned me later in the evening and we spent a lot of time discussing technical issues and ISPs in general. I was really impressed with aci-john`s technical expertise and his desire to provide the best ISP available at the lowest cost possible and still continue to stay in business. ACI/Dialstream is not a one man business struggling to make it. However, my connection problems continued. Well, this morning I, myself, had a stroke of brilliance. I thought, what would happen if I changed over to my old backup Lucent modem? So I did. Wow, double Wow, what a difference that made. It` like a whole different ISP. In my first 25 attempts to connect, I have connected Every time on first try, and have not had any disconnects. Line and bandwith speeds are as good as any ISP I have used. The Slipstream accelerator has worked well the whole time. This has to be the best bargain avialable it this time. Excellent service and technical support at $4.90 a month. Yes, smtp Port 25 is blocked for your protection on the basic service, but the $6.95 Premium service has Pop email available on request with unique smtp port numbers, and has more access numbers for those in remote rural areas, 200 hours a month limit, and Free Internet Accelerator, and price locked-in. Thats a lot for the money. Thanks Dialstream for offering this fine service at a good price. Right now I have been connected for 2 hours and 30 minutes without being disconnected. http://dialstream.net/

Use it in rolla, mo. and St. Louis works good and I connect at 49.2 in rolla, and 50.6 in st. louis.
I have the premium plan with propel. I set it at medium speed just to help and it seems to work.
John and Adam are good computer techs, and I recommend their ISPs

If I read it right the numbers are for level 2 and 3 and those are on the premium account. I have no numbers in my city other than the premium service. Now if I am reading this wrong others please comment. Also this is a new listing thats one reason there are no comments.
