We are not able to get dsl, cable, or broadband at my office because we are out in the country per say. We have been having such trouble with the dial up we are using right now. Just a small company near where we are. Anyone have any suggestions for fast dial up that is a good service? I have cable modem at home and love the speed but I know we can't get the kind of speed there with dial up. Anything better than 18 kbps or 14 kbps would be great. We do not have Verizon or SBC DSL out there either. We checked into Starband but they are extremely expensive which we wouldn't mind paying a little bit for the service, we are about to change office's and they wanted to charge us $250 more to come out later and align the satelites again and such. Thanks in advance.

Where are you in Texas?
Also, dial-up speeds are largely determined by how far you are from your particular switching station of the local telephone service. I am about a mile and a half to two miles from my switching station here in north central Austin, and I consistently get speeds of 49.3 to 50.6k. These speeds have been constant through about six different dial-up services that I have used since 1999. If you are really "out in the country" per se and therefore greatly distant from your local switching station, you may not be able to get decent speeds regardless of which dial-up service you sign up with.
Having said that there may be several cheap alternatives for dial-up, depending upon where you are--"cheap" here meaning from around $5 to $10.
