hmm i've been getting quite a few complains latelly about the reviews and comments on fisp's - people using fault language, etc.
I admit its not good that comments go live - maybe i should make them moderated - and have them reviewed myself before putting for public - what you think on this matter?
should comment and review system remain unmoderated (i just delete offensive posts from time to time - advantage - real time news and valuable information - disandvantage - obscurities and fault language can go on website) or make it moderated?
Maybe would be good idea to have little box next to review that would give an option to submit a warning to me about certain review.
just some ideas
BTW if you see some offensive reviews don't hesitate to contact here on the board or through email...

I hate foul language, but in order to get reviews (that are sometimes good) you just have to ignore the use of unnecessary use of foul language. Censorship is not good. Dont understand why there is a need to curse in a review. To each his own I guess.

When someone posting is really outraged by a problem, I can then at least sympathize with a bit of spouting off. However, the unfortunate thing is when the posting is obviously for attention, especially when placed in the subject line and its repeatedly posted.

Since you can't be everywhere at once, having a box to call the rough ones to your attention is one way of handling it. If, as R.Vijay suggested, Freedomlist followers refer their ISP to this site, its good for them to know the posts really are by their users and are not censored. Perhaps start with a request to the posters to moderate their language so their post won't be deleted. If it stays as rough as some have been recently, then add the box.

Another thought, perhaps now that the latest posts aren't shown on the home page, the shock value will no longer be there and it will lighten up.

maybe filtering of some bad words would help as it is implemented on this board for example f word gets filtered to @!#$, but this a bit later. comment system is very effective, but there are a lot room for improvement.
