How Do I Terminate My Yahoo Web Mail Account?

I've had a web-based e-mail account with Yahoo for the last couple of years, but now that I use another e-mail provider that better suits my needs, I have no use for my Yahoo e-mail account.

After logging in, I couldn't find the area where I could permanently cancel my Yahoo account. Could someone please provide details on how to delete my Yahoo account?

I want to cancel the profile I created under pyrollins because I filled out some information that is incorrect. I created a new profile under moreyrollins and want to sign up for efax but I cannot since there is another account with my name.

Yahoo allows you to have as many Yahoo ID accounts as you want, but you can only be logged into one at a time. It is not required to give out personal address/phone/work info. The Yahoo Toolbar should not interfere with Norton, although the Anti-Spy might. It is your choice not to use it. If you don't have problems using Ad-Aware, you shouldn't have problems with Yahoo's Anti-Spy. It is also not required to use the Yahoo Toolbar, but it should also not cause problems. Maybe you have other Spyware/trackware downloaded.

Attention all those who want to cancel a Yahoo account:
Please do NOT post a username, password, any account information, etc.; or post that you would like your account to be deleted. Sign into your email account, then at the top right select options. In the option window that appears, in the left column select Account Information. You will be asked to sign in again then you can edit whatever you wish.

First determine if the new Yahoo ID is available by initiating the process sign up for a new Yahoo ID account and then change the ID in the existing account manager if available. ......... A second option is to sign up for a new Yahoo ID account using the same password as desired. An alternate email address is required (not Yahoo) to activate the new account. .....
