Cannot access my Yahoo inbox to read messages

Hi!I have a problem accessing Yahoo inbox like most I have read on this forum.Changing the MTU to 1492 didnt help.Also using 4 other browsers didnt.I have 3 laptops connected to one router and broadband connection.Please somebody help.Its been a week.

Check the status of the Yahoo account at the local library. If okay, present the problem to an area computer hardware services store for tech support. If the problem is at the Yahoo mail box, consult Yahoo customer care services.

Requires a special cookie program in the individual computer. Try a local computer interest group on set up.

i am having problems entering my e mails.
it says that i have thousands of e mails and comes out at the same time that i have no messages in my inbox.

I always meet this problem, but I never find the way to resolve this. I can apen my yahoo mail and read message, but I cannot write any message in mine.

Whenever I log into my Yahoo ... mailbox, I get a message as under:
" Temporary problem accessing your mailbox..."
Since last three days I am having the same message and I am unable to open my inbox and go thro' the messages.
What must be the reason and what is the problem with Yahoo...
I have no problems with other email accounts like.. Hotmail etc...
Anybody may please suggest me something.

got virous. lost all shortcuts on pc. can not find old messenger that i had and liked better than the one that is installed now. how do i get my old messenger back online?

For those of you who can seemingly get into Yahoo email on some machines but not on others:

Go to calendar.yahoo.com.
Click on the Mail tab.

This is the only way I can get into Yahoo mail on my personal laptop. Wierd. I tried everything else everyone suggested here in this thread and nothing worked. But clicking on the Mail tab in Yahoo Calendar oddly worked.

Clicking on the Mail tab doesn't work now, but if I try some of the sub menu options like 'Folders' you will go to a page with a 'check mail' button. This will get you in.

Yahoo is wierd about this because I've seen this problem brought up on the help forum, but the topics are closed quickly. Yahoo is flucked up.

I may have found out what caused this error with my account.

" Temporary problem accessing your mailbox..."

I got the same error from 2 seperate locations and 2 seperate browsers for a couple of days. I thought maybe someone was logging into my account, but when I got to my home location and checked settings in my yahoo messenger, it showed my location as UK or Canada, cant remember right now, but since I changed it to US, I have not had the problem at all............U might want to check yahoo/ preferences/Location settings.

I've been now fighting this problem for over a month.

My syptoms are similar as what has been repeated here frequently, yet my problem is different. I can log onto Yahoo USA fine and access email fine. The problem is trying to access my inbox on Yahoo.tw (Taiwan). I can log in fine, access all other parts of the site fine. Only when I click Inbox or anything related to the inbox (folders, compose, etc.), do I get a timeout error.

Happens with Firefox, IE, on my home computer and work laptop while at home and at work. I also can't access from a second work computer.

I've done all the items listed here on my home computer, plus some.
1. tried changing MTU at my netgear router to 1500,1492,1482,1472,1462,1450,1400. No help.
2. Upgraded my router firmware. No help.
3. followed directions listed here:

No help.
4. Tried opening my browser security 100% and opening my Zone Alarm firewall security 100%. No help.
5. Did Spyware scans with Spybot S&D, Adware SE, XoftSpy. No help.

Tried contacting Yahoo and exchanged emails with them. Exchanged emails over the course of ~6-10 days. No help. Last email from them (2-3 weeks ago) requested the most amount of information from me. I gave it all, and haven't heard back from them since.

I'm exhausted and frustrated.

Anybody have any luck?
