i've been with gobigwest for about 3 months now and let me tell you, gobigwest has ALL the icing on the cake! gobigwest puts access4less to shame. i know because i used access4less for a while. the user support by phone takes a while like the phone company but gobigwest people are very friendly and put all your isp troubles to ease. reasons why i like gobigwest:
1. free, friendly, and helpful support.
2. no bloated software is installed (microsoft does that for them). gobigwest's isp service is compatible with operating system internet software.
(no software = no spyware like juno or aol)
3.i've had absolutely no problems logging on, *but* could not start a big download and leave the computer idle for over an hour without being disconnected(maybe i've got my operating system settings wrong)
4.no time limit so i can stay online and overload my feeble mind with useless information FOREVER!! (ha,ha just a joke i won't live that long)

Neither their support folks (4 phone calls) nor myself can get me connected to their UseNet server. Does anyone know the secret?
Connection to internet and mail server is good.

One more thing...
150 hours.... B.S.
if you even use 150 hours they reset it once you use that much so you can keep surfin through out the month.
No limit on how long your on just segmented.
I asked them and the phone company wants to charge per minute after a users goes over 150hours. So they work around that to keep the rate so low. They wont leave you stranded. Use it all day all month No Problem. There nice about it and apparently no secrets. I asked they answered. I talk to there support all the time and it doesn't cost a thing. They helped me learn alot about email and surfing the web.
Once again AWESOME!!!

If you need simple dial up and Awesome free support.
You'll have no complaints. I use it at home and its chuck full of options and no fuss. They set me up with what my computer already uses so you don't get any crappy software screwin up your machine. I'm yet to find anything that compaires. Try it no contracts and the first month is free. AWESOME!

How can a person give a review after 5 minutes! First; I find nowhere on their site that says its only a 150 hours but that's what its says on their "user terms" you must agree to before signing up. Another thing, when I emailed them with a question they never bothered with a reply. I WOULD SAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!!
Access4less still seems to be the best deal, I used them for two years, good speed, newsgroups, unlimited. I am using socal free for now, I am thinking of upgrading to SBC DSL if not, I will go back to access4less unless I find a better deal.
