Title: Agree

Tazzzy Guest
I agree with you Jeremy, who in right mind is going to be loking for dial-up 56k ISPs..? If they have a fast connection, because 56k isn't going to be fast.. And if you *do* have a fast connection besides 56k, dial-up 56k isn't going to umm, do you any good? heh.. bye

If I had a fast connection, do you honestly think I would be looking for a free 56k dialup ? heh newbies...

Title: no longer an option

Yes, free at last was great, but I just got an e-mail telling me to find a nwe ISP, it's shutting down (or rather switching to pay only). Was great while it lasted.... guess I'll check out address.com now.

Title: Great free ISP
|

Jason Guest
I had FreeI (now going out of business) and now i use address.com. The connection speed is comparable to freei (usually about 52k to 50.666k) So far I have not had any trouble staying connected.

Title: Yehaa! this is the best FISP!
|
|
Kino Guest
I have been using address.com for a while and all I could say is that it kicks a**! They always have updates to improve connections and add more local numbers. It beats the crap of Freei, dotnow, Netzero and all the other FISP! I would recommend this FISP to your family and friends!

Title: So! So! ISP but it's free!!
|
|
Gman Guest
I have been using Address.com for about 6 months already and I haven't had any problems with it. There are times that it hangs or the banner freezes but it hardly does that. I am in the Silicon Valley and we have a lot of access numbers to choose from, maybe that's why I don't get too many problems with it. The only thing that *** is the hompage got's to go!! I would recommend this ISP to anyone who doesn't want to pay $20mo. If you don't like banners another ISP to look at is Freeatlast.com, it has free PC2phone calls anywhere in the U.S..

Title: Address.com
|
|
Soundman Guest
I've been using address.com for about a month. Started out good (except for the banner being up all the time). The banner is a good size though. Biggest problem is that recently, they started playing commercial videos while dailing and verifying the password. They download these videos to their cache folder on your hard drive. These downloads interfere with your personal downloads and slow down an already slow connection. I recomend this ISP if you have a fast connection and a lot of hard drive space, otherwise forget it.
