Try Google Toolbar 2.0: http://toolbar.google.com/.
Opera 7.11 browser does a fine job on its own blocking ads, except at mail.com;then I use IE 6 with the Google toolbar. |

hi, i would watch what you download nowdays! there are several FREE popup stoppers that have a suprise for you, they have adware in them and generate popups for you. Always read the privacy policy and End User Liscense Agreement all the way(EULA or ULA)
i have two on my list and will vouch that they are safe
this one is small free and made by analogX (totally safe good guy)
http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/pow.htm
this is another one that works great too ( make sure you download the free version)
panicware popup stopper free

The best web filter on the market by far is Proxomitron! It blocks pop-ups and also does many other very useful things plus it's free!! The learning curve is a little more difficult than some of the other pop-up stoppers but it is well worth the time and effort to learn how to use it.
Get it here: http://www.proxomitron.info/files/index.shtml |

I've always liked AdShield. When they went pay, I continued to use the old version. Switched to AdMuncher ($25) but continued to use AdShield. Now I see they have a free version again. Very unintrusive and blocks lots of ads in addition to popups. |
