And apparently no way to "opt out". Perhaps they're emboldened by the recent actions of Rupert Murdoch's News of the World in London hacking into the mail accounts of assorted victims. |

I was reading through the email I received from Yahoo and clicked on a link in the email, in case I had questions.
I ended up here
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/basics/migration.html
and note the 2nd question.
| Quote: | What if I don’t want to upgrade to the newest version of Yahoo! Mail?
You will have the option to access your mail through Yahoo! Mail Classic. | Yes. I'm a diehard classic interface webmail user. |

That will be good if they dont force this update (THEY WERE GOING TO)
Maybe they realise they will lose ALOT OF PPL by doing this foolish act!
Thanks Plodr! |

| You misunderstood. Yahoo will be updated. But in its new version, I will still be able to select how I want the interface to appear. |

If you change your UA to this, the new yahoo crap works IN ANY BROWSER
Mozilla/5.0; Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.; Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6
I tried it in IE6 and it displayed pretty much OK.... It told me my screen resolution was a problem (800x600) but it still displayed pretty much ok.....
I then logged off that test acct i setup!! (Thankfully my 2 accounts are still on the better interface)
EDIT:
I have done some tweaking making the UA smaller and it works with this as well..
Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6. |
