Brewer's lawyers already have appealed the judge's ruling so they can fight back against what the Republican calls an "invasion" of illegal immigrants. The state of Arizona has received more than $1.6 million in a fund to help defend the new law, including $75,000 on Wednesday, the day parts of the law were blocked.

If they have a crime problem?
The 1.6 million would better be use on more Police.

The law is just a trick to fool the people of Arizona that politicians are doing something and not just making political points

They could try and sue the feds for more Police money if they can prove the crime is caused by lack of border enforcement.

Most of this is impossible to enforce. If they did that in my area, they would need to detain over 70% of the county as looking "hispanic". Where the law should be better enforced is a cleanout of businesses who hire illegals. If the illegals are put out of work, they won't get any government assistance as they don't have papers. The vacant jobs can be filled with those currently on unemployment.
Probably will never happen as it is to logical.

One of the big problems with illegal immigration is that our economy depends on those very low income workers. So, our government would rather keep the system as it is, extending to business its low wage, off the books workers.

Let's get real, nobody is going to stop that. If they make the immigrants legal, they will want higher wage jobs with benefits, etc.

So, nobody does nada.

We had the same issues with Chinese and they built the railroads. I am not sure how many were illegal.

The 'Dangerous' Border: Actually One of America's Safest Places

 http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,2007474,00.html

Consider Arizona itself — whose illegal-immigrant population is believed to be second only to California's. The state's overall crime rate dropped 12% last year; between 2004 and 2008 it plunged 23%. In the metro area of its largest city, Phoenix, violent crime — encompassing murder, rape, assault and robbery — fell by a third during the past decade and by 17% last year. The border city of Nogales, an area rife with illegal immigration and drug trafficking, hasn't logged a single murder in the past two years.

I think this makes it clear what is going on.
Much like Hitler did, it is easy to use hate and fear to push a political agenda.

A friend once visited his brother who lives in Southern California. While there, his brother told him he was planning to rent some construction equipment for some improvements on his property.

A few months later my friend called his brother and asked him, "So, did you get a backhoe for that project you were planning?"

"No", replied the brother. "I got a Mexican".

Now the people in another border state are screaming about "invasions". I wonder how many of those screamers have low wage workers working on their home and property.

Pardon me if I find the whole thing insincere.
