A hotmail user that I know just spammed their address book. I was wondering if there were any new hotmail exploits making the rounds, rather than this being a normal case of webmail hijacking through user error.

They ran a virus scan and came up clean, not that that is any guarantee these days.

This is somewhat normal for Hotmail because it is not as secure as gmail.

My AOL email account address book was hacked into, everyone in my address book was sent a email. I only use my AOL Mail as a 2nd email from my gmail.
