| Sounds like broadcast TV vs. cable/satellite. It depends on your needs. I travel in my work and occasionaly stay in a place with antenna-only TV (and dialup as my only internet option) . Although I enjoy Dish TV with a DVR at home (as well as DSL), I find that the "limitations" are not that limiting. I still get network channels, news, and weather . From my point of view, dialup gives me 90% of the internet, not 10%. But it's all point of view. Streaming is nice but not necessary. Everything else just requires patience. |
