On my WinXP and my 3 mbps ISP, I`m testing the latest of these three browsers, and just decided to do a quick comparison on page loading speeds while browsing. I used 5 cached pages that I frequent daily, and measured the loading speed with Numion Stopwatch  http://www.numion.com/Stopwatch/index.html  Palemoon 3.6.0.5 loaded the 5 pages in 3.962 seconds. IE8 loaded them in 5.832 seconds, and Google Chrome in 6.312 seconds.shock Viewable screen height with tab bars, and status bars showing were: Palemoon 8.19 in, IE8 7.19 in, Chrome 8.00 in. These are just 2 of many reasons I use Firefox 99% of the time. The Palemoon 3.6.0.5 browser is a trim, optimized, faster build of the released Firefox 3.6.  http://www.palemoon.org/  Thumb Up Thumb Up

It is. I think that if IE8, and Chrome had a good Adblocker like Palemoon/Firefox the results might be closer. For comparison, I just ran the same test on Palemoon with Adblock disabled. Time for Palemoon to load the same 5 pages with Adblock disabled was 5.417 seconds instead of 3.962.shock Maybe Google, and Microsoft will add a good Adblocker to even out the score. Google may not be in a rush to do this since a major part of their business is presenting ads for people to click on.

Are you using the latest 3.6.0.5? I was going to try the portable version, but the latest currently available is 3.5.6.1. Maybe I'll wait until the portable 3.6.0.5 is released.

I am running version 3.6.0.5. One thing I should mention is that you can not install add-ons from a Mozilla site for Palemoon. However if you are using Firefox 3.6, then Palemoon will run using the same FF 3.6 profile. I wanted a stand-alone installation so I just archived all my FF 3.6 folders in a My Documents folder, I installed, and ran the ZIP version of PM 3.6.0.5, and then replaced the PM Profile empty "Extensions" folder with a copy of the FF 3.6 loaded "Extensions" folder. It worked great. My Palemoon now has all the extensions that I had installed on my FF 3.6 from the Mozilla sites. Very easy.
