Outlook Express is turning this off to save you from executing bad things. You can correct it on your computer but the people receiving will also have to make hanges in the email program or they will continue to not get the attachments.
Tools/Options and then the security tab and uncheck "do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".

Thx so much for yr reply, but how come w/ people send me jokes and I get them clearly, but w/ I send any from my end they dont receive them, they get the red X, cause I tried sending the original e mail attachment bck to me and I got the red X. People were getting my attahments. I cd understand AOL but I dont hv AOL, and it also happens w/ I send it bck to myself, oh well. I guess I hv to live w/ it, lol. Smile

Because they have not made the changes I posted above. If no change is made, their email program protects them by not allowing attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".
