I need some testers for an accelerator.

The accelerator in question is the new ProPel 6.1 Accelerator. In the past Ive been a critic of propel. But since RIM, the company that bought slipstream will not be supporting it for much longer, I want to see what people think of ProPel. This new version *seems* promising...

I will provide free access to the accelerator, and will need your feedback.

Last time I did this it was a success, lets see if it is this time around...
I will hand pick 15 of the first inquiries.

email to request to participate in the demo.

Include this Info:
Name:
E-Mail:
Contact Phone:
Computer Processor Speed, Ram, And Browsers on your computer.
Browsers you plan to try the accelerator on.

* I may never call you, but If I dont hear from you about your testing I will call before terminating the demo account.
After demoing the product, you will be granted access to the accelrator for free for a while.

I am hoping to see demo request from both newer computers and much older ones. This will give me the info I need to find out if we will implement the product in the future.

I was using Propel 6.1 just over a month ago when you called it junk. Anyway... I found it to be a very good accelerator with only 1 drawback - you don't start it before surfing - it senses activity before connecting and it can make several attempts before it's finally connected. (I counted 20 & 24 trys a couple of times.) Once connected, it stays connected much better than any version of Slipstream I've had from 3 different providers but there's still the occasional disconnect. For the month I used it, it seemed to have as good (if not better) acceleration as Slipstream. If the version you're testing is an updated version or if you're running it on your own server - it might not have the occasional connectino problems I experienced.

Well if you send an email - it will open a ticket, and ill make sure that you get to try it CT.

I have my issues with propel over slipstream. Some people dont see the issues I do so I may offer both again, since they fixed some of the critical things in this last upgrade.

As far as not connecting, i havent seen that issues.

But as far as that "Any version of slipstream" ..... Not many have been willing to pay for slipstream with NOW Enabled on it. Which is, on all levels the best you can get. Slipstream 5x with now, used on Windows 2000 and XP was my best selling.

Propel isnt too far behind it. I like it as well, but I want to use it on my terms so there will me more tweaking and testing.

No doubt that Slipstream with Now Imaging is good though I usually used it with Opera so didn't get the full benefit of image quality but it's very speedy. Actually I think 5 is even faster than 6. I'm now using 6 without Now and, in my opinion, it's not nearly as good as v5x so I think I'll downgrade a version. But, I had disconnections using 5 & 6, like when I'm idle here at FL for a few minutes composing a reply. Smile Propel seemed to be more tolerant of idle time than Slipstream but did have occasional initial connection faults.
