Lena, we aren't on here 24x7 and offending posts are trashed when one of us gets on and sees them.
I'd also ask all posters, please do not respond to a post that is obviously spam/junk/free offers with strings by posting the above post is spam. When one of the admins/mods sees the post (we do look) it will be removed and all the other posts along with it. |

I liked Corrine's reply better.
Initially, I was concerned that there were four views of the offending post, and before more could see it, I wanted to point out that it was a scam.
Then, after the original poster responded so quickly to my comments, I went over the rules and saw where the post clearly violated the rule #8. I indicated that to the OP and then thought it was appropriate to bring that post to the attention of the mods ASAP so it could be removed.
I was unaware that the mods don't want any help in cleaning up the forum. I'm sure your comment "I'd also ask all posters, please do not respond to a post that is obviously spam/junk/free offers with strings by posting the above post is spam....." is meant to be seen by all and not just directed at me for trying to clean house.
A couple of weeks ago, I got so frustrated with Freedomlist because of the decrease in posts of a technical, computer, ISP related nature and the vast increase in posts of a political and news rehash nature, that I made an attemp to delete my account (couldn't find a plain old 'delete my account' button) by entering a non existing email address and an obscure password, and deleting Freedomlist from my Favorites. But a week or so later, I had second thoughts, and figured I'd give Freedomlist another try, so I ressurected my password and re-established my log-in page in my Favorites list.
But when a three year member get publically dissed by an insensitive, egotistical administrator for trying to do the right thing, it's time to pull the plug for good.
Adios' y'all.

Lena, I was not directing my comment at you. Other posters have responded to spam posts and I've had to trash the entire thread.
We get frustrated by the amount of cleanup we have to do - it doesn't make it easier with posts added to the thread and just adds to the overall size of the database.
Unfortunately, when you are reading what I type, it is easy to misconstrue my words for criticism. I'm sorry that you took it to mean I was criticizing you.
I've been here for 5 years and I've tried to help others solve computer problems; I'm upset that you seem to feel that I'm insensitive and egotistical. In the future, I will do my cleanup and keep my posts to the bare minimum. |

Just curious.
I know I'm a guy and I know it was a little sarcastic, but you removed my post about free tampons. Any reason why? Are we being selective based on the free product offered now? _________________ Independent, Refreshing. |

I missed that one, Steve but just tracked it down in the recycle bin. You'll note your wi-fi post remains.
If I had seen the other post, I would have likely removed it also for a couple reasons. One, knowing you, the subject didn't fit you so I would have been suspicious: "I figured us men with teenage daughters need this..."
The url for the topic in recycle did not match the product name, which something we always watch for. Also, the url included "CaptureAddress" and "HappyHome" which also seems strange. No, I haven't checked the link. Sorry.
Lena, on the other hand, is doing just fine. She is a regular contributor at LzD. _________________ Freedomlist.com (March 1, 2000 - 2013)

That's cool...
Told you it was off the cuff . I swore the link I gave you matched the product though, or so another place I looked told me. |
