I used the Free Version about 3 weeks ago. It worked for about a week and then I got a pop-up offer to use thier Premium Service. Ever since I got that Pop-up message....Juno will not connect

Juno ***! As does NetZero and as far as I can tell, I am using
Freelane now and although they are so far doing great, they don't have the capability of SMPT, which is a drag.

That crap with Juno "ticked" me off! And the other day I was on NetZero, which is a real glutten for resources, and you nearly have to configure it everytime you log on, and anyway, they are doing the same as Juno, and limiting (free) users to 40 hours
per month! How free is that??? I believe their name is a contradiction to the term "Zero"..!

Anyway, I am enjoying trying all of these soon to become mothballs, but at least for now, they are not costing me a dime to surf something that shouldn't cost a penny!

After Dec.4 Juno decided to clamp down on "web hogs". They may well be doing that now. For the past few days, my sessions have been disconnected after only a few minutes. I suspect that this is punishment for not signing up for their premium service. My service area in NE Ohio is very limited as to free services, and I have exhausted most of the free ones as they have folded, or went to pay services. I guess the PC gods are telling me that I should not be a cheapskate and sign up for a cable modem.
