Try paying for your service with Telstra Bigpond and getting cut off 8 times in 15 minutes. Yes that right Telstra Bigpond Sux. If the biggest tel company in Aus can't get it right how do u expect the little fish to manage it

Title: Nice one TPG
|
|
Happy User Guest
I''ve been with TPG for a bit over 1 mth. now. I chose
them because they were the only ones I could find.
After checking out their site I was very impressed with
their straight forward approach and ethics.
Of course only being able to surf between 1am and 8am
is a drawback, but hey, it is free after all. Connection
has always been good. I reckon if I had the money I''d
go with these guys for 24hr access.
Only complaint was that it took them a couple of days
to process my aplication for registration.
If anyone has had a better free isp experience I''d like
to know

Title: Get It
|
|
M Guest
I Have been using TPG night rider pack for a while
now. I like it alot, because it is totally free (although
you can only use it from 1am to 8am) and I can
download as many things as I like with no download
limits. Why don''t you join up for the nightrider pack.
You have nothing to lose and the only thing you have to
pay for is the phone call. Sometimes it doesn''t connect
on the first phone call, but so what, eventually on the
2nd you get connected. This is the only fully free ISP
left anyway.

Title: Niterider is excellent
|
|
Dennis Guest
Being an early riser, I can use Niterider for a couple of hours
before the automatic cut-out at 8am. It is always free and usually
very reliable. Provided you can fit your browsing between 1am and
8am, this is highly recommended.
You can sign up on the spot with their easy to follow instructions
and use the free service immediately.
MacIntosh users, like me, can use Niterider. AOL do not support
Macs in any way. If you have a Mac, you cannot connect to the
internet through AOL. AOL should realize we are living in a new
millenium. TPG apparently do not offer tech support for Macs, and
would be wise to change this policy, but still give easy set up
advice for Macs.
I would sometimes like to use the internet at other times, but you
can''t beat free. The return flow to tpg is that they get a good name
and people will use their other services (less expensive than
most); surfers check out the advertising on their site and they help
people who may not have the funds for $300 yearly internet fees.
Give tpg a go. You will like them.

Title: GOOD ISP
|
|
Paul Kuhlmann Guest
I have been using TPG for months and found that it works as fast as my modem can go. After 3 hours they ping me to see ifr I''m still online and if I block it they cut me off, else I can stay online most times. Sometimes they cut me off anyway, I guess this is when they are busy. I always connect first time. TPG has a server in Geelong, where I am. The only service they don''t offer is POP3 mail client on the niterider pack.
everything is there if you pay.

Title: TPG Niterider
|
|
Tim L Guest
I have been using the TPG Niterider for 4 Months now. I have had no problems, and always get a good connection.
There is a downfall in that it can only be used between 1-8 am, but, a good way to get around this is to get Flashget, and schedule downloads to start at 1:30 am. set-up your TPG Niterider account within FlashGet, and at 1:30 it will download all of your files. You can also turn the 'Turn off computer when done' option and leave your comp on at night and it will be off in the morning.
Well, I give the TPG Niterider a 10/10.
Tim.

|
|
Jan 'Insomniac' Guest
I have been using TPG Country pack ($30 mth unlimited hours)for almost 8 months now, and also use Niterider most nights(mornings) when I can't sleep, great when you happen to run into your download limit (very rarely). There has only been one (1) occasion where I didn't connect first time around, then I connected on the 2nd dial up. They are also the "ONLY" ISP in my area (western queensland)and most areas in australia be it city or country, with local call access. TPG ROCKS!!! :)

|
|
tracey Guest
ive used tpg's free net access for months now and find it a good service, the only complaint i have is that if for some reason my computer cant connect to the service i am charged for that eg: i try to connect - i get a message to say theres no answer at the computer im dialing - im then charged the cost of a local call, it soon adds up if it takes a number of times to connect...but thems the breaks i suppose

TPG is a fast and easy to use ISP. Far better than freeonline. It was the only one other than freeonline to let me sign up.

Title: TPG is best.
|
|
beatnik Guest
TPG is simply great.
I was looking for a long time for a good free ISP and found TPG Niterider.Only for free between 1-8 am. No download limitations (yet), this kicks a**. The best thing to download all the stuff you need while you sleep.
I guess the other products of TPG are also quite o.k. for their price.bad about it that service is limited to 3 hours, but hten you just reconnect.

TPG's night rider is an excellent service.... Fast and furious with no download restrictions what so ever. The "wild pack" is a load of crap...EVERYTHING is considered a download...emails, browsing and yes...downloads......My sister used that service and used up her 100Mb download cap in 1 week..This was without downloading any programs..she was just surfing the net....Don't do it it's not worth the money. If you wnat a good server you pay for that is cheap but good....try Chariot or Onenet.
