Modem on hold deals with v92 technology. You will have to have a V92 modem, and probably call waiting for this feature, depending on the modem.

You can follow the following link for more information. But our access numbers have notes on them specifying which technologies and topologies are enabled.

Very poor service. It took 3 days after signing up and paying for the service to actually get an online connection. Then, after paying for service as stated in the billing policy (billing cycle is 25th to the 25th), I get charged three months service when I've only been signed up for a little over a month. Very poor representation and totally misleading billing policy. Definitely talk to a sales representative before signing up!!!

We already know who this is, as I've listened to the recording from the call. She is not referring to the service, but actually the billing. I honestly couldnt care less how she protrays our cycle, as its been the same for 4 years. Having a 'baby cow' over our no proration policy.

Our billing policy has been the same, and it hasnt changed since 2003. When you sign up, you are paying for the CURRENT month as soon as you submit an order. On the 24th-26 depending on which site you signup from you are charged for the upcoming month. Signing up at the end of the month doesnt get you out of this, the charge will be recaptured either on the 1st or 15th when we run our audit.

Due to her choice of language during the call I wont quote, but the reason we do this is dialstream buys both per user and per port from the carrier. They couldnt care less if the account is made at the end of the month or beginning, and neither do we, they are all billed the same. You can even think of it as a setup fee in the current month of you want, but its technically not.

As for the other post. It explicitly says on the support site to request slipstream using the support ticket system and the new accelerator will be activated. We have to manually add quite a few and its taking more time than expected. Please submit the ticket once, because otherwise, every time you submit you will be put to the bottom of the list for activations. Activations take place within 48 hours of submission.

Have dialstream since April. Since 1o days my accelerator service stopped working. Wrote e-mail..no answer. Did call them Tuesday. A guy told me I should download version 5 of Slipstream. I did. Nothing is working. Wrote him an email again that I want quit my accelerator service...guess what...no answer. I think they stopped the customer service!! The billed me 0n the 24 of April, 15th of May and now again on the 31st of May. I think they need money.
The only thing that works is the internet access. But I want my money back for a not working service that I pay for. Will not even start to talk about the promissed e-mail account!!!!!!!!!

Hope aci John is reading this.....

Why is ispboost.com shown if there is no ispboost.com?

We are having a site developed as when We acquired ISP Boost we did not take their web design., and a new support site developed at this time. I went ahead and activated everything tho.

Also - in the future - hotlinks directly to our graphics kill bandwith. Freedomlist gets a lot of visitors!
Sorry...I have now moved the graphic to a website that I use. Boz

If you want safepages, by all means Ill give it to you today LOL

But come Monday, you would be the only one on it. Patience is a virtue, and you were informed it would take a while. Low and behold, I got a ticket the hours later saying now now now...

Some things I just dont have power over. We are moving up to new and better things.

The accelerator doen't work Login and Password was triple checked. In the accelerator settings Connection/Advanced /Remote server hostname I find " slipstream.safepages.com " and Server port 7000 and local port 5400. It also says My isp center will provide you with this info . I could not find any reference at all about these settings in that page. The above settings are preloaded by the program. Can someone help me resolve this problem ?

The format that I was told to use by Dialstream`s tech was was: username@dialstream.net along with my internet service logon password. I would email them and phone them again. Their service is very good and worth the extra effort to get the problem resolved.

I'd guess you are using the wrong username and password or you are using the wrong username format.

k1aft, You have to download and install the accelerator software from Dialstream`s Utilities/Download page and then logon using your username and password. Go here:  http://dialstream.net/downloads.html

Wow, you spent a whole 2 hours trying to figure out what the problem was. Did you ask freedomlisters any questions about the type of connection problems you were having and what suggestions they might have? I would not peg Dialstream as a rip-off just because you had a connection problem and didn`t take the necessary time to resolve it. Sometimes it`s something very simple that we, ourselves, are doing wrong and just can`t see it for the moment. Others here can often help. When I was first checking out Dialstream for myself I had a lot of connection and disconnect problems, and could have labeled them as possibly the worst ISP I had ever used, at that moment. However, after spending some time trying to resolve the problem, I discovered that my main Rockwell modem was starting to act up, and by switching to my trusty Lucent back-up modem, the problem was corrected. I finally concluded, after several days of flawless operation, that Dialstream is one of the best ISPs that I have ever used, and an excellent value at $6.95. This is very interesting. This morning I decided to try the Rockwell modem again for a while to see if it would work any better now. I like it because it is faster. Well, I was disconnected twice right in the middle of typing this post. Darn ISP! Big Grin
