Post  Title: Cost, overhead and priority

Guest

For 2006 I changed from this ISP's VTISP plan to their NatISP plan, I had hoped to at least retain the level of service I enjoyed with VTISP in 2005.
While I've spent more and added more overhead (compression), I've also noted a much longer response time for each net interaction, as if my priority dropped well below that of a VTISP customer. Permanently.

Sigh.

After initial setup, I signed up for a second email account (included/free) using their web-page. It thanked me, and then seemed to want me to check a box next to a paragraph of legalese that implied a desire to pay extra. Even though a prompt response was advertised, nothing happened. A few days later I tried again, with the same result. Finally, I sent an email to their Customer Service. Within a day, somehow my initial effort finally took, and also generated the expected response. Minutes later, someone sent me an email denying any evidence of my efforts, and insisting their web-page was working perfectly. Very strange.

I know my service has been fully installed (and fully billed). But it seems a bit reluctant, often taking several tries to start.

Hi Freedom List Readers: I have been with Natisp.com , as my Primary I.S.P. since early October 2005. One should keep in mind that this IS an ECONOMICAL ISP. (and there ARE times you will be reminded about it, as I have had at least 1 day of ISP downtime and multiple 'Time Out Based' or completely unexplained disconnects). If one is used to a premier based ISP , like AOl or Earthlink; which was my old ISP- you will notice it, with Limited Phone availibility of ANY of their staff, as well as Tech. Support. Although the tech support is much more available; considering they DO have a separate 1-866 number. The lady to keep in touch with at Natisp is Debbie. She has many of the responsibilities there, and, if and when she.. or anybody else there , answers the phone- can be quite helpful. Bottom Line: if you are used to the ISP services of Earthlink; and that is what you demand- Natisp may Not be for you. But, if you need an economical ISP for basic dialup or surfing and a working Outlook Express mail host; you will be O.K. !! Later..... RD in Cleveland, Ohio

Gort Snorter and other new ISP signups:

This is a very good I.S.P. .. so far. I have been on a 1st name basis with Debbie, at NatIsp.com; since first discussing my 2006 I.S.P. decisions with her , as of early October 2005. She does alot with them, there- and has been quite helpful and polite with this evaluator. There is also a very cool Australian sounding dude in Tech Support; called Adam. He has helped me with all my older Win '95 sign on issues and , much more !! (c;} There was only about a day or two- early on, where they were doing some 'data review' or other new signup tweaking and were down; but still, they gave us a FREE 'Squirell Mail' site to go to; so we were Never without service. I'd say go for it. 'C 'Ya group and guys.... Later Gort Snorter !! The Doc (c;}

Gort Snorter: Hey man... Sure, I tried it , and have had it for about a month or so. It's not so bad bud.. it DOES everything it says it does. Ask Debbie there. She does alot at this Newer ISP. I have had a 1st name basis with her, ever since I began making my 2006 ISP decisions with her, since , .. say, early in October. PM me at: email addresses removed I have NO regrets, so far man.
