Post  Title: www.isp-isp.com [intergate]!!!!!

I have used trip net or  www.isp-isp.com  which is intergate,,,for one and a half years now....before,,that I had used AOL....I wouldnt change a thing and I am 100 percent satisfied with this service.... $9.95 a month,,able to log on everytime without a problem...I wish that I had found it prior to being beat to death by AOL.... it is great to simply have a raw connection to the internet..choose my own startpage.web browser etc,,,,,,,,, I recomend it highly....Really...why would you want to pay anymore than you have to.especially when this ISP is available!!!!!!

Post  Title: can't access my account info

I've been with ISP-ISP/trip.net/qaccess.com/..whatever it is..for about 6 months, and the only problem is that I cannot access my account info. If I want to cancel service or change to a different credit card, I'm screwed!!..Everything else is fine: I can log on everytime, I can access my email..but can't get near my account info..it always says there's a problem with my username or password, but that's a bunch of bull, cause my username and password work fine for everything else..something smells fishy to me!!

In the realm of ISPs, "unlimited" means you can connect as many times as you would like.
If an ISP offers unlimited hours, that is usually called "dedicated access," and is almost always much more than $10/month!

This is my favorite of the 5 low-cost ISPs I've tried. Their news server (provided by Supernews) is the best for binary groups and has the longest retention of articles I've seen. I like their web email interface and the Qwest dialup number has been reliable and rock solid for me. There have been no problems with billing. Unfortunatly, they are dropping the Qwest dialup number I use after May 31. The only other access number that's local to me is a GlobalPOP number that has very poor thruput, although connection speed is OK. I've emailed them about this twice in the 2 months, but my emails have been ignored and phone support didn't return my calls. If you don't need tech support and the local number for your area works well, then I highly recommend them. They have recently changed a lot of their dialup numbers and I believe that their service IS unlimited now. Don't know for sure what the relationship is, but isp-isp, Trip.net and Intergate seem to be one and the same.

I've been using isp for 7 months now with out a problem.
Take that back, 1 time I was knocked off. I've recommended the isp to some friends and they have not had any problems either! Does the area have something to do with it? Maybe, but it's worth a try.
Also tried calling them, very easy to get a hold of.

found out after signing up with this isp. that is the same as intergate. same crap, same subpar tech support and same refusal to return e-mails or calls. not worth the $. think i can live without 800# tech support and stay with flxtek.. lot better for less.

You know this changing of the meaning of words is disturbing.
Really folks, get a clue!
Unlimited means without a limit, no limit, cap, etc.!
If you state unlimited connection time then you cannot then say "but only up to 200 hours", because that is a LIMIT. Go figure.
Be real, be fair, and get a damn dictionary.

Connections have been swift and flawless yes, but during this last week their mail server has been down more than it's been up. Of course I've only been a customer for just this last week; perhaps they'll soon straighten matters out. Still, I recommend Sysmatrix instead.

Just signed up with isp-isp and two things are bothering me. One: It takes two or three tries to connect with out getting an Error that states my user name and password does not match the domain. It eventually connects with out any change to user name or password but is a hassle.
Two: After going through the download proccess I find out It connects through Intergate. Not who I thought I was signing up with.
I'm going to take the wait and see approach but I may be glad Earthlink has given me two free months of service to find out if I like it here.

You can't go wrong: good people; fast and easy signup; powerful flexible connection software tool, yet it's totally OPTIONAL; fast, smooth and dependable connections every time (so far); myriad choices of dialups nationwide; FIFTY megabytes webspace; multiple email accounts, accessible via POP3 OR Web; the entirety of Usenet newsgroup feeds; tech support; good site design and scripting -- all at 8.95 per month with no hidden fees. I think this could be Mecca.

Brandon from Trip.net called me and got the billing snafu straight, and also hooked me up with the DNS numbers.

So looks like all is well.

Honestly that's the first time I've ever had a service provider call me to clear up a problem,...now that's service!

Thanks Brandon!

Tom -

Have you tried forcing in your DNS numbers? Sounds like that should fix your problem. If you need help with it, let me know and I'll have someone call you.

Also, can you give me your last name so that I can check on your billing problem?

Thanks,

Brandon Fallon

Well, here's the bad news.
They have over charged my credit card. I called them and they told me that the money would be credited back top my Credit Card. That was about a week ago, and still no money.
The other problem is poor connection. The "Log-in" goes normally, but once online I seem to get dead spots. I don't really know what they are called, but the connection just seems to go dead for 20 seconds or so at a time. I click on stuff but nothing happens, sometimes get server cannot be found message.
They have 7 local dial up numbers here, and I've tried them all. One of the dial up numbers seems to better than the others.
The sad part is I can still get connected thru Access4Cheap(which is out of business) and I get a Great, uninterupted connection thru them.

Post  Title: So Far so Good.....

Since I got screwed by IVW.net,..then TalentG,...and now Access4Cheap, it was time to find a new ISP.

I went with ISP-ISP mostly because they have nationwide dialup numbers in the cities I need them in, and they offer 50 mb of webspace.

Sign up was easy and service was on instantly. I did have to look around a little bit to find the place where I needed to activate my WebSpace. Now I have to givew them some time before my WebSpace is activated.

All in All they seem like a keeper so far.

If I run into any problems I will post them here. So far no problems to report.
