Seems to me you have a virus problem more than a internet provider issue (or maybe your modem). I use 295.ca for the past 6 months (I'm in Toronto) and I don't have any problem you're mentionning so far. Weird.. shock

Why don't you try checking under 3web.net in this forum? It gives the website address which you can visit to get the information you require.

I had 3 web for a couple of months and thought I'd go crazy with 3web junk all over my desktop. with 3web home pages opening at sign in and huge 3web dialers taking up 2/3 of the desktop before even getting on if I were lucky. After all this one then has to put up with a zillion pop-ups and adverts. Only to be hounded with disconnects and it is so slow... Praise the day I got rid of 3web. Love my 295.ca it's fast and reliable and cheap.....

Hey all,

A friend of mine told me about this great internet service and he told me he's never had a down time and can always connect and I thought I'd share it with you all.

One problem - If you don't have a credit card and you decide to join you have to pay $49.42 for the whole year - but still that's like only 2 months service at Bell!!

Anyways I hope this is of value to you guys.

i'm quite happy with it, but i must say if i was a newbie and it was my only connection, I certainly would be concerned about their hours of 'phone support, which are 11:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., with no support on week-ends. And of course, I've yet to receive a reply from but what can I say? it's cheap, it's very reliable, except when they're adding more lines and we have no way of knowing this unless we can catch them between the above hours. If you can get around 48000 regularly, that is great!
Are you dialing in from Hamilton?

I dial in from Burlington, and get pretty bad connections
with almost all dialups in Hamilton. My current ISP uses
the uunet dialup, 521-2211, which is the best connection
I have found from Burlington.

I have not signed up with them. Before doing that
with any ISP I always test their dialup number first,
many times, and see what connection speed I get and
if there are busy signals.

I've dialed up the 295.ca Hamilton number 905 481-4037
and the connection speeds are usually terrible, 21600 kbps.
It is not a modem problem, I usually get 44000 with my
current ISP.

Just friendly a heads up.

295.ca rocx, everything seems to work great. Even a bit faster than my old provider.

i have been on for 2 months so far, and cant really believe its so cheap. But dont get me wrong....I'm not complaining.

so I have only good things to say so far

Sorry to hear that. I suggest you give them a call and check if there's any problem with your connection. Who knows. Best case they will fix your problem right!
