Post  Title: DSL Extreme: highly recommended

Are we talking about the same ISP here? I have used DSL Extreme for almost 2 years, and I have never had a single busy signal or dropped connection - not once!! Seems impossible to believe, but its true. I used to play the AOL free CD change your screenname every few months to avoid charges game. I also used to use Juno, back when free was all it did. After these nightmares, DSL Extreme was a breath of fresh air. Connection speeds are not lightning fast, but no dialup is, and DSL Extreme is no worse than AOL, Juno, or MSN. Unlike AOL, when I called DSL Extreme to ask about my expiration date, they asked me if I wanted them to automatically renew my subscription, or cancel my service when the date came. Never had a billing problem. I have called tech support numerous times, and found their techs to be knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I once had a connection problem that turned out to be a virus - not DSL Extreme's problem, yet their tech helped me through the removal process until my computer was working again.

Affordable, high quality, good support - I unreservedly recommend this service to anyone.

Used this ISP (dialup) for 6 months and got:
-very slow connections
-lots of busy signals
-dropped connections
-billing problems
-little or no support
One of the worse I have ever seen. Avoid them like the plague.

I was using windows 98, was getting kicked off the internet everytime when I tried to connect with outlook express, now have windows me and having similar problems, this time my identity on my business e-mail account keeps changing to my personal account. I'm also getting very slow connections, gonna look for someone else cheaper with better service.
