Title: I want my money back
|
|
countrymomkel Guest
I tried to get on juno in April 2003. Got nothing! Called for support. Still nothing. I cancelled my account in May 2003. They continued taking $9.95 out of my account. Did not realize it until May 2004. I have demanded my money back in full, for the full year that they charged me. Said I have to email the request. Lets just see what happens.

|
|
I am currently using Juno's service. version's 5.0 and 6.0. I don't have any trouble.Infact i think it is better than it used to be. I connect at 50.6bps. Everyone must be doing something wrong to keep having trouble with them.

Title: Billing for no service!!!!!
|
|
Ben Hermans Guest
Juno has billed me for the last 5 months in the amount of $9.95. I never received any type of service. I expect that you reply to me and I demand to get my money back. This is a internet scam. I am Very unhappy about this and I will go to the better business bureau with this if I don't get my money back promtly. I will also spread the word about this scam. I contacted you people and I have still not heard anything from you. I am very upset about this, and I expect to receive my money from you and also would like a letter stating that you payed me back. My email address is <removed by admin>.
Please remedy this immediately!!
Ben

Title: juno service
|
|
manxtabi Guest
I've been with juno several years now and up until they joined with netzero I was fairly happy, since the server had few problems. Now, it takes me several hours and attempts to get on, and even if I do, I can't always access my email. Add to that the multitude of spam mail that is increasing. The only effective way to delete it is on webmail, that is if I can access it. I'm looking to dump Juno as fast as I can.

Does any one know how to utilize or configure Outlook Express with JUNO?
Dito with Microsoft Outlook
It does not allow you to use either of the above.
This is another reason why many have considered leaving juno.
Thanks!

I recently upgraded from juno 3.0 to 5.0 and the service went south. I did it to control spam, but I now constantly get disconnected and pages web slower than ever. I don't believe their $5 higher speed addon does anything. I'm currently exploring alternatives, such as ispwest.

Title: Unwanted e-mail
|
|
John/Az Guest
I have used Juno for several years, their disconnecting you in the middle of writing e-mail is annoying, but the price is right
and they do have enought connect #'s.
To get rid of undesired e-mail, right click on that senders address line, a menu appears, click on block sender. Then delete the e-mail. From now on it automatically deletes this unwanted e-mail. then go to File,Delete messages & permanently delete your e-mails.
Good luck!

Title: Pop-ups on juno
|
|
Tom Guest
Suggestion for people worried about pop-ups on Juno. I imported my Juno account to my office computer and begn noticing pop-ups. This never happened at home, which seemed strange since it was the same account. I realized that I had my home Juno browser set to delete cookies, clear history and temporary internet files each time I close Juno. I set the Juno browser at work the same way and the pop-ups stopped. Go to options, click on web preferences, then check the boxes in the Juno privacy settings. I find clearing these each time does not interfere with my web browsing at all. Good luck! By the way, except for an occassional glitch, my Juno service (which I've had since the earliest days) has been excellent.

I think you can just click the Iexp icon in the taskbar. I haven't been on Juno for the past year as I am now a "heavy user" at 45 minutes per month.

This service is just horrible. The customer service is non-existant. Any request for help for any problem you may incounter is either ignored or replied to with a lame non-helpful computer generated response. Stay away, far far away.

Title: juno ***
|
|
hothotheat23 Guest
Ive had juno for acouple years now...and it was alright at first and i didnt get diconnected very much. But now i get kicked offline every hour or half an hour. It use to be every hour, but now its turned into every half an hour, and its extremely frustrating when you get kicked offline then have to get back on, then do it all again in a half an hour. I would not recomend juno to anyone.

pscs_2000 Guest
With Juno you can use either their webmail (email client), or in the Juno banner options you should be able to automatically set up email using your browsers email client...ie Microsoft's Outlook Express.
Once you set it up you should be able to go directly to emails without having to re-enter your user name, and password.
Good Luck, Pete

Title: Speed Band/Hi Speed

Why buy the extra cost items to enhance webpage speed loading for Juno and/or Netzero??
Looks like these United Online ISP's should provide this as a free service to their $9.95 a month subscribers. In other words why should any subscriber pay extra to speed up webpage loading if the slowness without it is caused by these ISP's web designs using too much "flash and scrolling" advertising??

Title: Juno Spam & porno
|
|
PSCS_2000 Guest
Bill,
Do you use and/or have you used Juno Webmail, or your browser email client....ie MicroSoft Outlook Express??
If you get your Juno email using your browser email client you are at least able to block the sender of anyone you want using the tools within your browser email client. Also, if you use this method of sending and receiving Juno email you can also setup so the contents of messages received do not open until you click to open them up. This is a good idea to set up this way to avoid receiving computer viruses from any sender you do not recognize.
Good Luck, Pete

I replaced AOL with JUNO 10 months ago and was satisfied with JUNO,then SPEEDBAND was introduced for $5.00 more each month. That made it much better and is a lot better than AOL

Title: Juno
|
|
John Guest
I have been using Juno for 1 year now. The only bad part is there is no technical support. I've been disconnected maybe twice. Another problem I have had was it not recognizing my username and/or password. So I had to uninstall and then reinstall the software. I had to do this twice so far as well. Overall, its been ok. I don't use the internet at home much b/c have DSL at work, but its cheap enough and works 99% of the time for me.

Title: Juno Spam & porno

I have been a user for three years and was happy until recently when the porno and spam have gotten ridiculous.
About 90% of my email is now spam.
I'm looking elsewhere.
