This ISP is great! Even though it says you can only be on 300 hours I'm pretty sure that I've gone over my limit every single month! This ISP is actually Unlimited!

Still not the slightest problem with this isp. The one inquiry I made was answered quickly and adequately. Only one weirdness so far, they bill for next calendar month on 15th of previous month. Doesnt matter that much but made me curious the first time they did it.

If they keep up present service at present price, they will have me for a customer for some time. It fits my needs quite well.

I had a perfect experience with this isp. Never had any problems with busy numbers or anything like that (I was in the Phoenix, AZ area). I really hated netzero so I found this instead and I lucked out. It's cheap too--I'd say give it a shot.

Well, customer service even by email (.i.e: trouble ticket) is fast and efficient with these guys. Keep in mind it has to be during their hours of operation, which is like 9am-5pm I think.
They fixed the script error on their side, and I am gonna go ahead and try to do this once again. I did not have a chance to call their customer service number as of yet, but I want to clear up exactly how they are going to bill me, because on this site it says a $10 set up fee, and $23.50 on sign-up, but on their site it says they are waving the set up fee til September, and it is $6.75 per month if you chose the month to month program, and that is whatI want to do...hey...for $6.75 per month, if they are good, that is GREAT because there is no hassel or committment, and from what I saw as far as access numbers on their site, there are literally thousands, and you can dial up from just about anywhere, as long as you stay within your group, they have 56K tech on all I think, and V90 &V92 on a vast majority, so I may actually be able to use my modem for the reasons I purchased it for in the 1st place...
I will keep you informed as to how it goes from here!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Celena

Well, I have now tried 3 times to sign up for their monthly service, and I have had to enter 2 trouble tickets. It seems that the problem is on their end, I keep getting a message that says "funds not available/script down" after entering my credit card info. The first time this occurred, and I filed a trouble ticket, they answered the next day, and said CC was probably over the limit...So I called my CC company, and this is NOT the case...The 2nd and 3rd time I tried to set up, the same thing happened, with 2 different Credit Cards, both in good standing...I called my bank after the 3rd try, because this was a different Credit Card...Bank has no idea why I would be turned down UNLESS they (lzy.net) were trying to Authorize an amount that so much exceeded the limit that it would not go through...that would have to be an AWFULLY HIGH authorization amount---certainly not the $6.75 that they should be authorizing, as I am signing up for month to month. The bank also had no record of a transaction attempt from them...I called my other credit card company, asked the same questions, was given the same info pertaining to the amount they may've tried to authorize---the CC company ALSO had NO RECORD of an attempt for authorization on lzy.net's behalf...
After the 1st attempt, I had to keep my other ISP for another full month even though I did not want to, so had to pay for it again...I am trying this yet again, a full week ahead of time to avoid this happening yet again.
lzy.net says they bill on the 15th of the month, and do not "pro-rate", I read this in the User's Agrmt...So now I am going to call their customer service/tech support @ 1-978-249-8455 to see if I am going to be charged a full month for just a week, or how they arrange this. I have to cancel my other ISP by the 10th or I will be billed again by them, but it does not seem fair that I should have to pay a full month for a week of service, I want to talk to a person to get this resolved. Honestly, I have never had this much of a problem signing up for an ISP...I will definately post exactly what my experience is when speaking to a customer service rep/tech support rep---and depending on the type of treatment that I get, this will be how I make my final decision on whether or not I DO actually take lzy.net on as my ISP, that is, if they can get their info straight, because I have done EVERYTHING on my end, and there is no problem with either of my credit cards. I would've liked to try their service free for a month before signing on, and I am also going to ask if they will provide this option for me, as their tech problems have held me up in the 1st place, and I am curious to see if my request will be granted---In my opinion, if an ISP is worth it, they will allow you a free trial period to get acquainted and to see if there are problems or runs smoothly...I have informed them I have been posting to this site---Has anyone else had any experiences with this ISP??? They are some how affiliate with budgetsurf, so anyone dealing with them, please let me know, Thanks~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Celena

I saw lzy.net last winter when looking for an isp that offered 250+ hours on uunet network (worldcom). Their description said 300 hours but their TOS was contradictory in saying if I choose uunet number I only got 150 hours. No enthusiastic feedback, so I didnt even persue it enough to email them. I went with onlineTX.com (virtual isp of logonisp.com). Unlimited uunet for $10 per month. Still have them, but saw lzynet again here on freedomlist, went to their website and no signup fee for new subscribers until September, so figured what the heck give them a try. If they work out, I save $3.25 a month. They have by way updated TOS to say 300hr on uunet.

Simple automatic signup. I think some may be confused on setting up dialer to use lzy.net. You have to put a 3 letter code before username and use the proper suffix after the @ depending on network you signed up for. The info is on website but they also tell you exactly in your receipt after signing up.

I logged on quickly and it seems to surf just shade faster than with same uunet number on onlinetx(virtual isp of logonisp.com). May even be my imagination, certainly not enough difference to worry about.

One thing I dont like is I cant use their smtp email server except with their provided email. Onlinetx implemented this in late January also. Suppose to stop spam, but just a big pain in rear as I dont want to use isp email in case I want to change isps. The most effective method of controlling smtp server useage would be to just limit number of emails that can be sent in an hour and to require a login before use. No spammer is going to bother if he can only send couple dozen emails in an hour and only say 5 duplicates at a time. He wants to send thousands of duplicates at one time and move on.

Anyways, it seems ok at first blush, but will make an update after a month. Copper.net and Allvantage werent bad either at beginning. Quality deteriorated bad as time went on. With Allvantage just think it was the local pop number. Was only one available in my area and turned out not a good one as I later tried it with another isp. The uunet number and the level3 numbers are head and shoulders above rest in my particular area.

Hey--i tried to sign up for this service tonight--thought i'd be the 1st to rate it....SO FAR----POOR---but--I put in a trouble ticket, so lets see whathappens.
oh yes--the problem--after requesting all of my personal and creditcard info and passwords, they declined my service without reason---I checked--there were no mistakes, CC is valid...wonder if it is a fly by night and they are gonna bill me...I shall keep you posted---it sounded too good to be true...300hours per month---they work with budgetsurf, and use usa/world.net/surf.net access numbers, and have thousands of them...i believe theyhave a 10-15 min idle disconnect (which world.net does have), and an automatic 5 hour disconnect, then you can reconnect in 5 minutes...so if you're gonna download something big--you gotta keep moving/clicking the mouse atleast 2 times evert 10 min, or risk disconnection...If you are on say --ebay and in the middle of winning an auction and bidding, and close to your 5 hour limit, you will be disconnected even though you are not idle...something to think about---better off disconnecting and redialing before something like that.
Also--when on the  www.lzy.net  site, i was redirected to budgetsurf's site for FAQ's and other stuff--confused me at1st...
but for now--the only thing i am truly worried about is that i just gave my creditcard info to this site TWICE...
PS--trying to get rid of my Walmart ISP---all it is is AOL--UGH--gonna take forever even after an uninstall to get all of their crap off of my computer--and their browser never worked---I am on the end of my "free month" walmart has a toll free # to call and cancel 1-888-855-0942 we shall see how both turn out...but from my own experience--I'll probably get billed by both twice---ISP's are relentless, and their billing depts ***.
