Beware my A*s.

This is on the carrier level, and I will take up for Hotdial, even tho I am not affiliated with them, because this is how the carrier handles this:

Hotdial uses Ikano/Dialup USA - and gets access on a per user average basis. Per DUSA policy, when you reach 300 - you are on a special list that puts you in the highest usage customers. From there on you will probably be looked into, and if you are using a dialer, or your usage indicates that you leave the connection on and unattended, ur done. Its like insurance - they give you this and that, but its impossible to use it all, without reprocussion. If you are online 450 hours, on dialup of all things, with the national average being 1.5 hours a day now... (about 45hrs) somethings wrong...

And 300 hours - is 10 hours a day. I do find it pathetic when people can hit that many hours, and its non business use. Only excuse is a retiree, but usage of more than 4 hours on constant use on the computer literally being there in front of it.... Those people are FAR and few between.

Just went to sign up with this ISP it says 450 hrs a month and in their terms of use says 450 hrs a month but when you actually go to purchase it, it says hours of use 300 !! Beware of false ISP claims if they lie once they lie continually !

Have had an accout with this ISP for several yrs. Absolutely no email from them, have asked 4 times why it take 2-3 DAYS for email to arrive. Sends OK mail goes out in about 3 minitues. Will be looking for a new ISP this week. Jerry

Started out a little shaky, but the last 4 months have been great, if you don't mind being cut off at 5 hours. Connect every time. Connection is 10% slower than other connections most of the time, but the same about 20% of the time. I use it about 300+ hours a month and have been very happy. Do not count on any help with this plan as help pages are useless and does not include email or telephone support of any kind.

It looks like there are around 20 numbers in the 401 A/C. See https://isponly.net/orders/dialup/index.asp?siteURL=hotdial.net.

I am interested in becoming a new customer with HotDial. Net. I previewed your list of services you provide. I noticed you do not offer dial up networking supported, can you please explain this to me. I have a DSL, no cable modeum hookup service.
I am also wondering where your access numbers are located. I live in Providence, RI area and do not have long distance service, and do not want to be charged for long distance dial up service.

If you could please respond as soon as possible, as I am trying to make a decision on a IPS carrier.

Thank you for your anticiapted reply.

I signed up yesterday and needed some help getting online right after I signed up. I called the Customer Service line (Not the tech support number) and left a message. My call was returned right away and I also had sent them an email on the problem. While I was on the phone I also got a response in my email from another staff member letting me know how to fix the problem. Two people had helped me at the same time. That's great service!

We like hotdial.net a lot. Mostly the price for everything. We did have AOL but we''ve upgraded.

We have done away with our old billing and support departments now offering those services in-house and provide what we feel is an unbeatable service. Since our recent changeover our support line rings less and usually when someone needs support it is for configuring a new account.
